Regional Education for Clinical Coders
The 2009 Regional Education Programme is now complete. Topics covered included:
- New Zealand Conventions related to :
- ‘Tobacco Cessation’ as it relates to the New Zealand Health Target – Better help for smokers to quit
- A new Convention Z58.7 Exposure to tobacco smoke
- An amendment on ACS 1904 Procedural Complications
- Influenza A H1N1 (Swine Flu)
- Update on Procedure Coding
- Ventilatory Support – methods and reporting
Planning for the 2010/11 Regional Education Programme will take place towards the end of this financial year. Clinical coders are welcome to submit suggestions for future regional education workshops by emailing: coding_helpdesk@moh.govt.nz
